Sharing Christ's Love in Sao Paulo

May It Be a God Thing in Chácara Klabin!

Chacara Klabin Metro StopWe have never felt that we were doing things on our own.  The mission field is such that things must be done through prayer.  In fact, just the idea of being not being able to communicate everything you want at 100% is humbling enough by itself.

I love to teach the Word.  Yet, although I know I can get across any idea, I also know that a national might communicate that same thought in a more powerful way.  But again, this keeps us dependent upon God and His power.  And that's the part I like.  It is incredible to witness the Lord at work in ways that are unmistakeably happening by the moving of His hand.

This is why we want to build a prayer team from both here and around the world.  We want to see God's hand move in the neighborhood of Chákara Klabin!  This section of Vila Mariana used to be a huge favela or slum area.  In fact, it was the largest favela of the city of São Paulo at one time.  This was all razed and new construction has created an upper middle class neighborhood of houses and high rise apartments.

Will you join our prayer team?  Just a few minutes a day praying for the hearts of these people would do wonders.  There is nothing we can do to make it happen.  This must be a work of God.  Won't you join us?  Start today and let's see what God can do!

  1. Dude! You got it. I'm amazed at what God has done through you guys in such a short time! Man, I'll be praying for you and the work there in Vila Mariana and Chakara Klabin. May God's hand move in mighty ways and may many come to Him through the work there!!!

  2. Thank you for your commitment there in Sao Paulo. From what I understand, there is not much happening in reaching the extremely resistant upper-middle class of the city. Somehow God has opened up the doors for you guys. Charge through! These people need to hear the gospel too.

  3. Steve,

Just wanted you to know that each month Calvary Tucson meets to pray and undergird our missionaries. Your family is one that we have continued to pray for diligently for 1 1/2 years now, each and every last Saturday of the month. Often we do not know how to specifically pray for your needs, so we pray as the Spirit leads us. Many months I try to glean from your website and FB for specific prayer requests. This month (April) I was doing this again and I see this request. Please know that we will be lifting this request up before the Lord on your behalf this Saturday April 24th. It is truely helpful to see your request posted so we know how to specifically pray for your needs! May God richly bless your ministry and may he empower and annoint you by His Holy Spirit for the work that He has planned to do in and through you!

God's blessings to you and your family!

Questions of the Day

Who has God laid on my heart today? Does it require me to do something? What is it and when will I do it?
